Just like yesterday a man who’s form had slipped regained it to take a victory. Alan Robertson made a fine 36 points around this testing but beautiful course. He pipped Mike who again put in another solid performance and Steve was again in the top three.

Steve is certainly the man to beat for the tour title and playing like the champ he is. Note for our handicap sec back at Brampton, when asked why can’t he play like this at Brampton he said “I don’t feel the pressure here but at Brampton I am always worried about getting docked!”

Visiting Heron Creek for the first time since 2003 the tour was left wondering why we had not been back sooner. With high winds the back 9 ground most down but not Steve, who notched up win number 2 after a card play off with Chris. The rain just caught us playing the last hole as the weather becomeS more English.

Hurricane Irene on Track to Strike Southeast US
Aug 22, 2011; 4:22 AM ET
Irene remains destined to strike the southeastern United States later this week as a hurricane.

At present this is expected to hit the east coast of Florida as a Cat. 2 Hurricane so if this prediction is correct it should not cause any major problems to the gulf coast golf courses.
